As dress shoes go. . These are rather comfortable. And as wide dress shoes go these are pretty cute. They don't have any clear plastic on them, but the heel is wide from the back. As a younger woman I didn't Love these shoes when compared with what my narrow footed friends wore, but they were definitely the best option in Gold. But the gold is VERY gold!
