California dreamin' I bought Birkenstock "pisa" last year, my first pair, and loved the look but they did not stand up to the abuse that living near the beach in Southern California put them through. The cork didn't last and the leather separated from the sole. I found these quite by accident and LOVE them. They will last quite a lot longer than one season (I live in sandals year round here) and I know that the rubberish material is much more suited to this climate. Also, they seem to fit more snugly so I can even run in them if I have to without them tripping me. Hooray for Birkenstocks! This is the perfect sandal. And, received them so fast I couldn't believe it. Logohoo is the bomb!
