Better than I expected. Started out the first week wearing these with them rubbing the back of both ankles, and cutting into them, even though I ordered up a half size. Was regretting the purchase for that first week. Then amazingly, that went away and they fit like a dream. I wear them every morning to walk the dog. As for the waterproofing, I took the dog to an animal swim center wearing these and both my husband and I got soaked. However, my socks and feet stayed perfectly dry. The boots dried off and look brand new. So if you are considering these or just bought them be patient, they will stretch, I guess, and be super comfy and warm.
